The
City of Newark, NJ, where anything and everything can happen. Hustling,
pimping, swindling, drugs, extortion and, of course, murder. Numerous gangs
and religious groups battle to take over the city. The action never stops.
In the midst of all the renegade religious groups who contribute to this
chaos, stands out one man known as "Smooth." Since there is not a lot of
money flowing through the Muslim temples at this time, Smooth, who was aspiring
to be a Muslim minister in Jersey City, chose to turn to the streets of
Newark to financially empower himself. Living in the fast lane, Smooth will
meet different types of people who are in the life of drugs, prostitution,
murder and more. Being intellectually gifted, he has the ability to deal
with the streets and with the force of "The Brotherhood" he gains and maintains
control. However, his connection to God, his spirituality always seemed
to keep him in check. Eventually, Smooth realizes that the game is dead. |
